Convert PNG to PDF without losing sharpness
Screenshots of an error, a set of exported charts, a scanned form saved as PNG: as separate images they are awkward to send, print or attach. Convert PNG to PDF here and they become one document with a page per image. PDF can store PNG data losslessly, so small text in a screenshot stays as readable in the PDF as in the original image.
Page size options
| Option | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Same as each image | Screenshots and graphics read on screen: no white borders, pages match the images |
| A4 or US Letter | Documents that will be printed or submitted, such as forms and receipts |
| US Legal, A5 | Matching existing paperwork |
With a paper size, Automatic orientation turns pages sideways for wide screenshots and keeps tall ones upright. Images are scaled to fit inside the margin and centred.
Transparency and mixed formats
Transparent areas of a PNG show the page behind them, which is white in every PDF viewer. You can mix PNG with JPG, WebP, GIF and BMP files in the same PDF. JPGs are embedded without re-compression. Formats PDF cannot store directly are converted to high-quality JPEG first. An animated GIF contributes only its first frame, and very large images are scaled to fit the page size you choose, so nothing is cut off.
Screenshots straight from the clipboard
Take a screenshot, click on this page and paste it. It is added like a dropped file. Repeat for each screenshot, then create the PDF, which is a quick way to put a bug report or a how-to together.
Tips for readable screenshots
- Keep the original size: with Same as each image, screenshots are shown at their natural size and stay sharp when zoomed in.
- Crop first: trim browser bars and empty space with an image cropper so each page shows only what matters.
- Order matters: number your files (01, 02…) before dropping them, or arrange them with the arrows afterwards.
Privacy
The PDF is assembled by your browser and carries no author or software information. Your images never leave your device. For photos, JPG to PDF explains how phone pictures are turned upright and stripped of their location, and PDF to PNG converts pages back into images.
